Kasaragod is famous as the land of gods, rivers, hills, forts and beautiful beaches. The imposing and magnificent circular fort at Bekal is one of the largest and best-preserved forts in Kerala. The natural expanse of the shallow beach near the Bekal fort known as the Bekal Resorts Development Corporation (BRDC) has developed Bekal Fort Beach as an exotic beach location. Besides the natural beauty and cleanliness, the Bekal fort beach is also known for hospitality.

An important attraction at the Bekal fort beach is the facilities available here. BRDC has developed about 7000 sq. m area for parking. A walk way has also been developed for the visiting tourists to explore the beauty of the fine coastal line and enjoy the panoramic view of the Bekal Fort. Besides, arrangements for illuminating the beach have also been made. Resting facilities are also available at the beach. Multi shed provide the tourists enough facility to take rest and enjoy the sea breeze. Seating arrangements have also been provided for the tourists at the beach.
