Anchunthengu Fort
The English East India Company built the Anchunthengu Fort in
Trivandrum in the 17th century. The fort along with the adjoining
cemetery is noteworthy for relics of this first major British trading
station on the Malabar coast.
Aruvikkara
Aruvikkara is both a pilgrim centre and a picnic spot. It is located on
the banks of the Karamana River and houses a temple, where a rock cut
shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagvathy, the divine personification of
female power.
Kovalam Beach

but also India. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the
coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look.
Ponmudi
The hill station of Ponmudi is located at a distance of 61 km from
Trivandrum. The enchanting bounty of nature can be witnessed here in the
quiet surroundings.
Beema Palli
An important Muslim pilgrim centre, Beema Palli is dedicated to Beema
Beevi, a pious Muslim lady believed to have possessed divine powers.
Devotees of all faiths visit the Beema Palli mosque.
Vettukad Church
The 'Madre De Deus' Church, commonly known as the Vettukad Church,
attracts thousands of devotees from all religions and parts. The annual
celebration at the Vettukad Church is called the 'Feast Of Christ, The
King'.
